The Day of Light

Celebrate don't fear, shout with joy don't mourn for the Light has come. The Savior of the world has been born. Hope break forth, Life has come into the world. Shout with Heaven and sing with the Angels. Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace and good will to all men.
Luke 2:9-11 KJV

"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

The Hope, Jesus Christ, came to destroy the darkness in our life and set us free.
Luke 4:18-19 KJV

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,    To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

Amen, John 8:36 KJV

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed."

Father thank you for Loving the world, that you gave your Only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will have everlasting life. In Jesus Amen.
Merry Christmas.

2nd Day of Light

It's almost Time... Heaven is anticipating, a hush is in the air, celebration is about to break out, as the Angels choir gets ready to sing a new song. The star is about to announce the Gift of God wrapped in flesh. Mary's contractions are closer and the Promise is ready to spring forth. The sheep are sleeping and the shepherds resting. Something is in the air. Light is about to break forth. Life is ready to show the Love, of the Father, to a lost and dying world. He who knew no sin will become our redeemer, Jesus, the Savior, Emmanuel, God with us. Oh glorious Day...salvation is at hand.
Matthew 1:23 KJV
"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."
Father thank you for the Greatest gift of Love, your Son, your beloved, our everlasting life and hope, in Jesus name Amen.

3rd Day of Light

Ok ladies, you probably can image this a lot better than us guys. Mary in her 9th month just arrived in Bethlehem, after a 90 mile trip, on the back of a donkey. Now they cannot find a place to stay, it's cold and she is starting to have labor pains. What a predicament to be in and it all started from the Angel Gabriel speaking a word from God to Mary. I wonder if Mary ever second guessed her response to Gabriel,
Luke 1:38 KJV
"...Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her."

She might not have known everything involved, but she trusted her God. God does not choose us so we can fail, but to be vessels that He can receive all the glory and honor from. She also believed Gabriel when he Said,
Luke 1:37 KJV
"For with God nothing shall be impossible."

When we decide to except and follow Jesus, he didn't illuminate your whole life from start to eternal life, but promised to always be with you and His word would be a light to the path.
Psalms 119:105 KJV
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Father we will trust you to lead us by your Word and Spirit. Nothing is to difficult for you if we will just believe the Light leading us each day in Jesus Christ Amen

4th Day of Light

Ok as we have been doing this 12 days of Light devotional, probably the last 3 to 4 days Mary and Joseph have been traveling a harsh and rough road to Bethlehem. It is estimated from Nazareth to Bethlehem to be about 90 miles and most of the trip is uphill and downhill, thieves and wild animals. Mary in her ninth month pregnant riding on a donkey 10 miles a day would be pushing it. Traveling in the winter in the desert would have been cold during the day and freezing at night with the probability of a lot of rain. God the Father did not make it easy for His Son to come into this world . Neither was it easy for Mary and Joseph who received the Word from God, to carry it out faithfully. Yet we today are so distracted by difficulties, getting our eyes off of God and the Word that he has spoken to us. THE Light needs to come forth, lives need to be changed and this world needs to be saved. Are you willing to be faithful with the Light that is in you?

Luke 2:4-5 NKJV
Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child.

Father help us today to be faithful just as Joseph and Mary were faithful to carry out the word that was in them, that you had spoken to them by the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

5th Day of Light

As I watched our children's program today at church for Christmas it reminded me of what Jesus said," Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for to such belongeth the kingdom of heaven." Jesus came as a baby. Babies and children have a way of drawing crowds. They bring joy and laughter and love. Children seem to light up a room, just as Jesus became a light to this world, with his love. That little baby in the manger brought joy to Joseph and Mary, the shepherds, the wise men and to everyone that came in contact with him.  Let him light up your world with joy and make a difference to those around you.
Father thank you for the light and the joy of Jesus Christ. Thank you for shining through us into this world in Jesus name Amen.

6th Day of Light

As I prepare myself for worship tomorrow, I begin to remind myself of what a great God and awesome God we serve. Because of his light I have life and I have it more abundantly Jn 10:10. Thank you Jesus our awesome Creator and Lord, for coming to this earth and redeeming mankind. You created the universe, the stars, the planets and all that we can see and not see, we give you praise. You are Infinite and Majestic, but you took time, to take on the form of a servant. You suffered for us to set us free.
John 8:36 NKJV

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Father thank you for the freedom, Jesus thank you for paying for freedom, Holy Spirit thank you for keeping us free in Jesus name Amen

7th Day of Light

So here is our quandary. Light came into this world, and the world has been trying to extinguish it for over 2 thousand years. Hasn't always been that way. Because the Light is the Word, the Son of God. He made this world, but this world was deceived by Satan through man. But the Light can't be put out. So Satan through a fallen world tries to deceive us by self gratification and lust for more, thinking that God is holding back enlightenment and pleasures we deserve. Same lie to Eve and Adam. Move God aside man will destroy himself. Give man Xmas you make him believe there is no true meaning or hope in life. Hide Christ, "man assumes self-pleasure (mas). But without the Babe there is no cross, no empty tomb and no eternal life. Are you deceived or do you see the Light.
I John 1:5-7 NKJV
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Father redeem us from our sin and our own self gratification. Gives us the light of your love through Jesus your Son. Amen

8th Day of Light

In the book The Applause of Heaven, Max Lucado refers to a small cathedral outside of Bethlehem, which supposedly, marks the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Behind the altar of the church there is cave, if you go into this cave there is a star embedded in the floor which recognizes the birth of the King. There is one stipulation, you have to stoop down to get through the door of the cave, because it's so low you cannot go through it, standing up. The same is true of Christ. You can stand and see the rest of the world, but to witness the Savior you have to get down on your knees.
James 4:6 NKJV
... “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
So receive the light and the knowledge of Jesus Christ and live, or stand in our own knowledge with pride and fall.
Father we come to you in Jesus Christ your Son . We humble ourselves to not only a child, a man, but to a Savior and Redeemer, our soon coming King. Amen

9th Day of Light

The last few days we have been sharing about the True Light. This light was the Son of God. He was fully God and fully man and he came to redeem all mankind. He was the Greatest Gift ever given from God to man. This Greatest Gift came to give us, who were lost in darkness, hope. If we will flee from our sin and lay hold to Christ, we shall find eternal refuge and safety. For in Romans 6:23 the Bible says "for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." It comes down to this; that he who was sinless and perfect made a great gift exchange with us. He will give you light, and take your darkness, he gives you rest for your mess, joy for your sorrow, hope for your hopelessness and peace in your broken and troubled life. Will you accept God's greatest gift? Jesus Christ.
Father we thank you for giving us the greatest gift your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you for coming into our heart and forgiving us, of all our sin, in Jesus name Amen.

10th Day of Light

In our devotion today I want to talk about the perfection of the light Jesus Christ. Not only was he God as we talked about yesterday. But he was perfect without sin. The Bible says that God made him a body. This body did not receive any DNA or cells from human beings such as Joseph or Mary. But the Holy Ghost made Jesus a perfect, sinless body. His perfection was not in his looks or how handsome he was. The Bible says in Isaiah 53:2-3 there was no comeliness about him. He came as a humble servant yet sinless for you and me. That is why he is called the second man Adam. As God formed Adam a body in Genesis, so God for his Son made a body, Hebrews 10:5. Because a perfect Lamb had to be slain for the sins of mankind, on a cruel rugged cross, he would die for us all. That is the light that we celebrate that drives out the darkness that sets men's souls free. At Christmas time we celebrate a sinless child who came to take our sins and to redeem us for eternity.
Father help us to realize the power of Jesus name and the power of his death because he was the sinless Lamb who took our sins and set us free, in Jesus name Amen.

11th Day of Light.

As I was thinking about the devotional for today. I begin to think about the quality or the integrity of a light. You know for 99 cents you can buy a cheap light, or you can pay a lot of money for a Maglite. The problem we have here, is that no matter how good the quality is on the outside, its what powers it on the inside that matters. A light is only as good as its power source. What sets Jesus apart from all other prophets and teachers and good men, is the fact that He is God the Son. That he had and still has all power. The baby in swaddling close lying in a manger was eternal and everlasting, in him there is no end.
John 1:1-5 NKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Father help us to receive and understand that your Son was that baby and he came to bring light to a lost and dying world. That we may know the love of God in Jesus name amen.

12 days of Light

I was thinking about calling this devotional,12 Days of Christmas Devotional, but I begin to realize that what our world is lacking today is light. The True Light, the light that shines in darkness and darkness has to flee. Isaiah 9:2 said, " the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined." Jesus came over 2,000 years ago in a time of darkness and turmoil that Isaiah for told. Even now there is darkness, turmoil, and hopelessness. But Jesus is the light that can come into our darkness and give us hope and life.  A babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Who would think? WHO would believe? In such a place and in such a time, that this child could change Eternity. So let's talk about this for the next few days.
Holy Spirit helpless to hear what your Word desires for us to hear, that will bring faith, victory, hope and joy during this Christmas season, in Jesus name Amen.

Just Praise Him

Have you noticed that most of the time when we give God praise, it's because he has done or is doing something for us. I believe praise means more when we can praise him and worship him because of who he is. The fact that he is love and faithful. That he is forever the same and never changes. His judgments are always true and righteous. God never wavers in his character. Psa 145:1-4 David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. Father I praise you today because you are worthy, thank you, for being faithful every day you are the same, in Jesus name Amen.

Just Believe

Day 20: I know it doesn’t look good right now, everything seems hopeless and dark. Silence, but yet the screaming in your mind and heart that says, there must have been a better way. This can't be God's plan, can it? Why, because you can't feel or touch Him, those words just don’t line up with your misery, failure and emptiness you feel? Sounds a lot like the disciples. Where were they when Jesus needed his closes friends. But see that is his plan, He has to do it, because you could not. So what is left to do? Just believe, that is what He has been telling you all along, oh I know, we thought out the plan and had a blueprint. You see Jesus is the plan and He is Life, in Him is your blueprint. I know everything seems to have died and is in the grave, but have Faith. Faith you say? Yes believe, because a seed must die before the plan and genetic purpose it was made for, can blossom and bring glory to its Creator. Don't speak death and defeat, don't give into what you see, just believe. Speak Life, because Sunday is Coming, God will do what He has spoken. He does not need your help, but just to have Faith. Mark 16:10-11 " And she{Mary} went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not." Father help us to speak by faith today and not to sit around speaking doubt, rehearsing our failures and past. But, we choose to believe by the Holy Spirit that all things are possible to them that Believe in Jesus name, Amen

My Best Friend

Day 19: Today my Best Friend gave His Life. Today God laid down His Life. Today the Light of the world took on darkness. Today the Bread of Life was ripped and torn to pieces for sin. Today the King laid down His Crown to take on a crown of misery, depression, sorrow, anger and defeat for wretched weak prisoners of darkness. Today He who was Perfect and Love was beaten merciless, beyond all recognition, He took the addictions and abuses, and chains, that we could not break, trying to free ourselves, trying to find peace and joy. Today the Living Water poured out himself, so we wouldn’t have to thirst, for the things of this world, that never satisfy, that leave us thirsty, in bondage and misery. Today our Friend took our place, our death sentence, willingly, so we could have Life more Abundantly, now and for Eternity. Thank you Father, thank Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit for your sacrifice you did not OWE. Amen John 15:13, Isaiah 53.

Life Line

Day 18: Sometimes in our lives we get in situations or problems that just seem like a deep hole. We fall in and can't get out. But Jesus comes into your situation and ask, do you want out? Are you tired of listening to what everyone else is trying to tell you will work but don't? Religion isn't working, works don't work and people just don't have the answer. Well the answer is Jesus. He is your life line. He does care about you. Hebrews 4:15 "For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." That life line is nailed to an old rugged cross, where our Savior gave his life, to fully pay our ransom from sin and death. Father thank you for your grace, your unmerited love, which is the life line, paid for by your Son Jesus. Amen

Which Way?

Day 17: Which way are you going? It doesn’t take to long, to figure out if the path that a person is walking is the same as their talk. Are they willing to compromise the way of truth? Many times, the roads are not the same. Jesus had this problem with the religious groups of that day. They had become hypocritical in their talk and walk. But then Jesus comes on the scene speaking these words of eternal life, forgiveness, healing and deliverance. Jesus was always what he said he was. He could and did back it up with power and authority. He wasn’t a copy of a god, but was on the contrary the Son of God. He lived a life that was the absolute and perfect revelation of God the Father. John 14:6 " Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Father help us to walk in a way, that brings you glory and honor, as Jesus your Son did, so that others may receive your love and forgiveness as we have. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prince of Peace

Day 16: Jesus is our peace. The road that Jesus walked during the week of the Passion was not peaceful. But instead very weighty, dark and agonizing. He who was our Prince of peace took our sorrow, sin and hopelessness and became our sacrificial Lamb. He who did no wrong was wronged for us. The Prince became as a pauper and prisoner, stripped of His dignity and royalty, to take our shame, rags and penalty caused from sin and disobedience. The Prince humbled Himself as a servant willing to die for our peace. Joh 14:27 " Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Father I thank you today that our peace is your Son, Jesus thank you for being willing to set us free from our prisons and darkness. Again thank you for your marvelous love and light. Amen

Strength in God

Day 15: This week reminds me of the walk that Jesus took for you and me. It wasn’t easy by no means. But Jesus the Son of God made a choice. He choose to say Father not my will, but yours be done. He then by the power, of the Holy Spirit, walked out the plan of God. It was a plan to redeem all mankind from the wages of sin, which is death. He choose life for you and for me. So whatever you are facing today you must choose to follow God or not. If you choose God you will find your strength in the Lord and power to be victorious. Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Father, I know when we choose you we have your Spirit working, on our behalf, through the power of your Son Jesus Christ, to face every problem and situation. Amen

Today, God Made

Day 13: Thank God for this Day. Psa 118:24 " This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. " We like to use this scripture to give God praise or thanks for this day. But actually It is a verse celebrating the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ the Lord, into this world. God's Light coming to darkness that man can see the awesome love of God. Today, I can rejoice because I have meant the Lamb of God, the Saviour of the world. I also know that my steps are ordered of Him today and that I am not alone, no matter what I face today. To the sinner, it is the love of God reaching out to bring hope and life, in your devastation and darkness. Why? Because at your lowest you will feel His help, love, forgiveness and deliverance. The Father desires to give you eternal LIFE. Psa 118:21 " I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. " Father thank you that you will answer both the lost and the found, if we will but come to you through Jesus Christ, the precious Lamb of God. Amen

Be Inspired

Day 12: We are greatly blessed. You know what inspires me to continue in life, to walk positive and with contentment? The love of God. To know that someone could love you and me with such unconditional love and grace. God's Mercy doesn’t give me what I deserve, but instead His wonderful Grace gives me what I didn’t expect to receive from such a Holy and Awesome God. I stand in AWE of His forgiveness and encouragement. His power to change my life from darkness, as he shines his light of love. His cleansing and healing of our brokenness, from the sacrifice of His greatest Treasure and Gift to mankind, HIS SON Jesus my friend and Savior. That Inspires me to love and to forgive as I walk into His arms, the one who holds and sustains the Universe by the Power of His Word, yet is so tender and compassionate. We are very precious to our Father. Eph 3:19-20 " and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us," Father thank you for your power and love at work in our lives, in Jesus name, Amen.

Rejoice in the Lord

Day11: Rejoice! It's a beautiful day. 1Th 5:16 says," Rejoice evermore." What is one thing that makes you happy right this moment. Think on that. Look what God has done for you, He saved you, healed you, delivered you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Look outside at all the new birth and beauty coming forth because of the warmth of the sun. Look at all the beauty and new birth that God is bring into your life because of His SON. Php 4:8 " Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Father I rejoice today because you have given us a blessed Life in Jesus your Son, Amen

God is Listening

Day 10: What are you saying? More importantly what are you saying to God? Have you talked to him today or more so you talked about Him? Many times I believe we talk about Him, such as "I don’t know why God did that, or You would think that God would know my problem. I don’t know what God is doing, wish He would tell me." You see that is not talking to God. To be honest it's more of a rhetorical question, because you already have a preconceived notion and answer in your own MIND. God can't respond if you already have the answer. Talk to Him. God wants you to come to him, trust him and believe that He hears and answers His children. Let Him remove your frustration, anger and depression. He can handle whatever you are going through, and will give you peace and joy within. Psa 116:1-5 " I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live… Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful." Father thank you for hearing and responding to us your children, in Jesus name, Amen.

God is Waiting

Day 9: God loves you. Do you realize God is waiting for communication from you. He has already spoken to us, through his Son, the message of the Kingdom that God loves us. The Father has called us and chosen us through His Son Jesus Christ. We have the Word of God the Bible, God the Holy Spirit who will guide and explain the path the Father has chosen, to activate and begin that Eternal Life God has for those who will believe. Just come to God and you will find a true and fulfilling life; stop the struggling, fighting and doubt, begin to speak life into your darkness from the Father of Light. Matt. 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. The AMP translation says, come to Me all you…overburdened…I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Now that will make you say, Hallelujah!! Father thank you for taking all our sin, struggles of life, and forgiving us that we can have abundant life through Jesus Christ your Son, Amen.

Be Thankful

Day8: What an awesome God. You do realize that we are blessed and have a lot to be thankful for? Now if you are basing that on what you have or a certain state of health or being, than you will not see your blessing. You will not talk and be thankful if you are caught up in your moment. 1Th 5:18 "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." We have a tough time accepting this state of heart because we are temporary now people, that cannot see past our own situation we are in. But I assure you that we are blessed because we are on God's side and he never loses. He has everything under control. God is not on my side!! We are to be on his side and that is how I can be thankful because He guides my steps; if we pray, stay in His Word and listen, than we wouldn’t be it some of the circumstances that are over whelming to us. Because I can have peace even in the midst of the storms when I know God is directing my steps. Father one thing I know is that you love us and have made a way to overcome by your Spirit in Jesus name. I am so thankful for your wonderful and gracious gift of Eternal Life and blessing on our lives, Thank you for being a help in time of need. You are AWESOME. Amen.

Walk the Talk

Day 6: God keeps his Word. I am so glad that God does not expect me to handle every situation in life by myself. Read Matt. 6. I mean I can't make a Lille, but I could try to help feed the sparrows. Trying to make myself taller and keep track of how many hairs I have is not in my ability. I did get up today and got ready, but God provided the oxygen and breath that I needed to do that. You see I can speak a lot of stuff and promise this or that, I can proclaim that I am able to accomplish my agenda for the day, but can you? Because the Only thing that is forever is God's Word. God can make a promise and keep it. I can say something, but it is only if God allows it and if it's his will. The reason that we fail and end up in messes is because we are out of God's will or timing, now we cannot walk our talk. Prov. 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. In Matt. 6:33 God said if we put him first then he would take care of our needs. So if your finding yourself in a place of lack and always struggling, you could be trying to walkout your word not God's Word. Father help us to remember that your Word is our faith to face any trial and problem with victory. For victory comes by the Holy Spirit keeping His Word in Jesus name, Amen

Speak with Confidence

Day 5: God is Faithful. Those three words are very important to the believer and anyone else, as that goes. You see sometimes we tend to lose confidence in someone because they let us down or failed us in some way. We then allow that to come into our relationship with God. The problem with that is: God is not able to be like man; because He cannot fail or lack in power, has never faltered, gave in or buckled under anything or anyone. He is absolute in all and has the power and knowledge over and in all things, that we face or in the Universe. So remember don’t blame God for your bad choices or what others have done to fail you. You have the power of choice, to choose to come out and be victorious because He that is in you is greater than all the powers of the world. Rom. 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Have confidence in God he is your strength and wisdom. Psa 118:8-9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. So where is your confidence? Father help us today to speak with confidence and faith in you, for you alone are always faithful, in Jesus name Amen

Speak Faith-Apply Change

Day Four: Well God is Good and faithful. I was thinking in my spirit this morning about faith and being positive. Faith is not always speaking what we think, is positive or uplifting. Faith according to the Bible in Rom 10:17 says " So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Actually, we could say that believing comes by hearing what has been taught by Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Here's the negative we don't like, but tend to make excuse for in our lives. We bury our heads in the sand like an Ostrich then act like there's no problem. We will not confront issues that are facing us, we just keep enabling ourselves or others, to keep doing what we have always done instead of changing. Oh yeah!! But if I say something, that will be negative. Is jumping up and down in the middle of the road, like a crazy person, trying to stop a car negative, if you know that the bridge is out and they will plunge 200ft to their death?? Oh! that person in the car is your child, family or friend; or maybe you're the one driving! We are not called to judge or condemn, but to speak the Word of LIFE that can change who ever believes and receives. So maybe the situation we are in, that we dislike and are unset about, is because we have not heard the Spirit and changed; but instead blamed everyone else. John 13:17 "If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them." Positively apply the blood and body of Christ to your life and be changed by the power of the Spirit. Father thank you for applying your Word and love to our lives that we may live, in your joy and abundant life, in Jesus name. Amen

Speak Faith with Trust

Day Three you all, and I 'm sure that you are doing well. I believe that your words and speech have been challenged to be more positive. That your words have been more up lifting and healing. But my question and challenge today is do you believe it? Do you believe what you are saying is making a difference. The Bible says that without FAITH it is impossible to please God. Let us look at Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. To really have faith, you must have trust in God. The reason we are so negative is because we are upset with God about our past and not getting the answers that we thought we should have received from the Lord. So why be positive and why ask because God didn't answer me then, why now? You have to start believing that God has everyone's best interest in HIS HEART not just yours. You might not have liked your answers or the way things have turned out. But you have to believe and trust that God who was willing to offer his own Son Jesus, on the Cross for you, deeply loves you and is working with the power free choice and an enemy that is out for your soul. Remember that what happens now is temporary but bares on eternity. Father help us today to trust you and that you are thinking eternity not temporary feelings and wants. Help us according to 1Pe 5:7 Casting all our care upon you; because you care for us and Love us against all powers of this world, in Jesus name Amen.

Speaking Truth

Tuesday, April 1, 2014 9:22 AM Well this is day two of our journey to changing the way we speak. So how was that first day? You did great!? OH? Not so great!? Either way, you were better than the day before. Now you are conscience of what you are letting into your heart. That’s right! What is in the heart comes out of the mouth. How did it get in to your heart you ask? We feed it and we are born with it. That's right, you are born with an evil nature that has you in captivity and bondage, because of the fall of Adam. Until we by the Holy Spirit put the deeds of this flesh to death we will not be free. But Jesus says that he has and will set you Free. John 8:36" So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." The first reason we do not speak faith is because we do not want to hear the truth. John 8:31-32 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Remember you are not what Satan or anyone else says. You are a child of God and he alone knows the truth and plan for your life. Father thank you for loving us so much that you called us children, sons and daughters of God. We choose to abide and live in what you say, so we can live in victory in Jesus our Lord, Amen.

Speaking Life - Challenge

March 31, 2014 I was challenged the other day in my spirit, to watch what comes out of my mouth. So I challenged our church the next 21 days until Easter, that we fast our negative talking and way of thinking. Old habits are hard to break and this could be interesting, but powerful!? Instead we are challenging ourselves to speak Life. The Bible clearly tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Both of these produce fruit, one Life and blessing; the other death and curses. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. Jesus brings us Life. 1Jn 1:1-2 Jesus is called the Word of Life and then that Life was manifested. I pray today that you would begin to speak life in to your situation. The power of Christ can break the chains and bonds that hold you captive. Life can speak healing into your body and deliverance in your finances and relationships. Jesus can take care of your past and give you a hope for your future. Father I speak the power of your Word over each person, the power to change their life because Jesus paid the price through HIS Death and by His Resurrection we are free in Jesus name.
